"My passion for nature was felt first on the beaches of New England; now my inspiration includes the prairies and peaks of the Rocky Mountains.

Painting landscapes allows me to linger outdoors a little longer, to explore nature's color and form, it's weather and infinite complexity.

With each final brush stroke I pay tribute to a place and time."

Weaving Aspens

'Weaving Aspens' was completed in my studio in Boulder, Colorado. A large piece, 3x4 feet, the painting was inspired by a hike I took one autumn while living in Taos, New Mexico. Trail upon trail leading to open hillsides with orange and gold littering the forest floor.

Beyond

Minutes from Taos, New Mexico peaks and prairie meet.  Sagebrush and range grass touch, beckoning the explorer to venture beyond.

Misty Hearts

Powder Point Bridge in Duxbury, Massaschusetts.
One misty high school reunion Sunday, I photographed endlessly the fog rolling into the back river.......one snapshot and a friend's poem compelled me to paint.

Enlightened Hour

Soft sun settling on a sea - unnamed.........or is it rising.  Your place, your time.

Hidden Jewel - Favorite Hike

At the base of Wheeler Peak in Taos, New Mexico is this pristine, alpine lake. You cannot see it from any road, you cannot drive to it or get to it quickly. It is hidden and glorious and demands that you work a little in order to take it in.

Once Upon A Shore

This is one of two pieces I did from the heart, from memory. An imagined rocky beach in Northern California where lovers frolicked.
